What is Solutions for Teen Life?
 Solutions for Teen Life (LIFE) is a nonprofit, faith based, youth development organization that offers a one-year (free) mentorship
program for teens. Our mentor series is explicitly designed to mentor and encourage teens to fulfill their dreams and reach their maximum
potential. The Teen Excellence Awards is the culminating black-tie, red carpet LIFE event designed to honor and reward the hard work and
dedication these teens have demonstrated throughout the year. LIFE has reached out to teens since 1999 through mentoring, workshops,
television, print media, concerts and special events.
LIFEs mentor program was created to prepare teens for life through a series of interactive topics, speakers and special events, including:
- Bi-monthly Meetings and Assignments
- Community and Corporate Guest Speakers
- Goal Setting and a Personal Action Plan
- Decision Making for Teens
- Strategies to Overcome Peer Pressure
- Self-Esteem, Body Image & Healthy Skin
- Safe Sex (Abstinence)
- Education, Career Planning and Annual College Fair
- Discovering the Leader in You Series
- Back-to-School Party
- Etiquette (Boys and Girls)
- Anger, Time and Money Management
- Community Service
- Teen Excellence Awards
The process of growing-up brings with it new adventures, challenges and testing boundaries. Our mission is to help teens overcome the
many forces that threaten to misguide or destroy their future.
